Llangollen Heritage Railway



Enjoy a ride through the beautiful Welsh scenery on a steam engine. Opening in 2022 is a station in Corwen, walking distance from Bron Y Graig.

Ty Mawr Country Park



On the banks of the River Dee in the Vale of Llangollen, in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. As well as walks on prepared pathways, there is an animal barn and visitor centre to relax and have a drink and snack by the river and enjoy the local scenery. 


Bala Lake Railway



A delightful 9 mile return journey alongside Bala Lake, through the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The narrow gauge steam trains give excellent views of the lake amid its surrounding scenery.



Pontcysyllte Aqueduct



The first 11 iles of the Llangollen Canal is an outstanding piece of industrial and engineering heritage comprising of embankments, tunnels, viaducts and aqueducts; including the stunning Pontcysyllte Aqueduct itself. From Llangollen wharf embark on a horse drawn of motorised barge for a trip along the canal.

Walking



There are many walking routes in and around Corwen for all abilities. Snowdonia National Park offers a wide and varied number of walks from leisurely to strenuous from
20 minutes to 55 mins from Corwen

Cycling



There is easy access to both road cycling and mountain biking routes around Corwen and Denbighshire.



Go Karting



For those who feel the need for speed! GYG karting is only 15 minutes away. They have an excellent track used by many including the British Kart Championships.

Fishing



There are many great places to fish near Bron Y Graig - from stocked fisheries at Llyn Derwen and Llandegla to the picturesque reaches of the River Dee.  Corwen Manor fishing store is just a five minute walk from the guest house and we can also guide you to those beats where Day Tickets are available.  Mortimer and Whitehouse had a memorable time fishing for grayling on the Crogen Estate near here (Series 5 episode 2) and anglers from across the UK have told us how great the fishing and locations are in our vicinity.
